Nutrition Facts Panel Formats and Export

Available panel formats (standard, tabular, linear, simplified) and export options for your label printer or co-packer.

Panel Formats

ServingCalc generates four FDA-approved Nutrition Facts panel formats:

Standard vertical format: The most common format, used when the package has sufficient vertical space. This is the tall, narrow panel most consumers recognize.

Tabular (side-by-side) format: Used when the package is too short for the standard vertical format. Nutrient information is arranged in columns side-by-side.

Linear (horizontal) format: Used when the package is too small for either the standard or tabular format. All nutrient information appears in a single horizontal line. Common on small candy bars and single-serve packages.

Simplified format: Available for products that contain insignificant amounts of most nutrients (seven or more mandatory nutrients present in amounts that can be declared as zero). This format lists only the non-zero nutrients.

Export Options

Export your completed Nutrition Facts panel in three formats:

PDF: Print-ready vector format at the exact dimensions specified by FDA. Suitable for direct printing or inclusion in your label artwork file.

PNG: High-resolution raster image for use in design software like Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or Photoshop.

SVG: Scalable vector format for web use or professional print workflows. Maintains sharpness at any size.

All export formats include the complete Nutrition Facts panel with the standard FDA typeface, bold rules, and formatting specified in 21 CFR 101.9.
