Export & Reporting
Export all generated tables and reports to Excel, PDF, and Word with professional formatting, firm branding, and state-specific report templates.
Excel Export
Excel export produces a fully formatted .xlsx file compatible with Excel 2016+ and Google Sheets. Each table type (exceedance summary, data summary, detection limit adequacy, comparative, statistics) appears on a separate worksheet within the workbook. Formatting is preserved — color-coded cells for exceedances and detection limit issues, bold headers, consistent number formatting with your configured significant figures.
Cell formulas are included for calculated fields like exceedance factor (result divided by standard), so reviewers can verify calculations without regenerating the data. Data validation annotations flag any results that required manual column mapping or ambiguous analyte matching during import. The Excel export is designed for the reviewer workflow — your PM or senior consultant opens it, checks the formulas, and confirms the screening is correct.
PDF Export
PDF export produces publication-quality documents ready for inclusion in final client reports or regulatory submittals. Each PDF includes a configurable header with your firm name, logo, project name, report title, and date. Page breaks are inserted between locations or analyte groups to maintain readability, and a table of contents is generated automatically for multi-page reports.
Landscape orientation is used for wide tables (exceedance summary, data summary) while portrait works for narrower formats. Print-optimized margins and fonts ensure the output looks professional whether viewed on screen or printed. The PDF is the format most clients and agencies expect for final deliverables.
Word Export
Word export produces a .docx file where tables are formatted as native Word tables — not images or embedded objects. This is critical because environmental consultants assemble compliance reports in Word, and tables need to be editable. You can add narrative text around the tables, adjust column widths, or incorporate the tables into your existing report template without reformatting.
Word styles are applied for consistent formatting. Headers, cell text, and footnotes use defined styles so that when you paste a LimnaFlow table into your firm's report template, it inherits the template's fonts and formatting. Compatible with Word 2016+ and Google Docs. This eliminates the copy-paste-reformat cycle that consumes hours when building reports from Excel-generated tables.
State-Specific Report Templates
Different state agencies expect different table formats in compliance reports. LimnaFlow includes pre-built report templates for the states with the most prescriptive formatting requirements: California DTSC/RWQCB (GeoTracker-compatible summary tables), New Jersey NJDEP (Remedial Investigation report table format), Massachusetts MassDEP (MCP Immediate Response Action and Phase II table format), New York NYSDEC (Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study table format), Pennsylvania PADEP (Act 2 site characterization table format), and Florida FDEP (Site Assessment Report table format).
When you select a state template, your exported tables match the column order, header naming, and formatting conventions that the state agency reviewers expect. Additional state templates are added based on user demand — if your state is not listed, you can request it and we prioritize based on user volume.
Batch Export and Branding
Batch export lets you download all tables for a project as a single ZIP file containing Excel, PDF, and Word versions. This is the typical workflow at report delivery time — you generate everything, download the batch, and pull the files you need into your report assembly.
Configurable branding persists across all your projects. Set your firm name, logo, project numbering convention, default report title format, and footer text once in your account settings. Every export automatically applies your branding without per-project configuration. For firms managing dozens of projects, this eliminates the repetitive formatting setup that accompanies every new report.
